Prickly Pear Shrub Drink Recipes

Baja Sunset

2 oz mezcal of choice

1.5 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

¾ oz freshly squeezed lime juice

½ oz sage simple syrup

½ oz HVT Prickly Pear Shrub

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.  Strain over one big cube in a rocks glass rimmed with your favorite sea salt.

Garnish - fresh sage leaf, dehydrated lime wheel

Prickly Pear Spritz

3-4 oz Sparkling Coconut Water with Yuzu *Trader Joes

1 oz HVT Prickly Pear Shrub

½ oz freshly squeezed lime juice

Combine shrub and lime juice in a shaker with ice and shake.  Strain into a flute or coupe and top with sparkling coconut water.

Garnish - fresh lime wheel
